Returns & Exchange Policy

At Peetalya, every piece we craft is a labour of heritage — made with intention, finished by hand, and built to last. We take great pride in the quality of our brass, copper, and kansa products, and we want you to love what you receive.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please read our Returns & Exchange Policy carefully before initiating a request.


1. Return Window

We accept return requests raised within 7 days of delivery of the product. Requests raised after this period will not be eligible for a return or exchange.

To initiate a return, please write to us at support@peetalya.com with your order number, reason for return, and supporting photographs within the stipulated window.


2. Eligibility for Returns

A product is eligible for return only if it meets all of the following conditions:

  • The return request is raised within 7 days of delivery.
  • The product is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition.
  • The product is returned in its original packaging with all tags, labels, and accessories intact.
  • A valid proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) is provided.
  • The product is not from the non-returnable categories listed in Section 4.

3. Conditions Not Eligible for Return

We will not accept returns in the following cases:

  • The return request is raised after 7 days of delivery.
  • The product shows signs of use, wear, or damage caused after delivery.
  • Natural variations in texture, finish, patina, or colour inherent to handcrafted metalware — these are not defects.
  • Minor dimensional differences within acceptable manufacturing tolerances.
  • Products damaged due to improper use, storage, or cleaning.
  • Products returned without original packaging or with missing components.
  • Items purchased during sale, clearance, or promotional events (unless received in a damaged or defective condition).

4. Non-Returnable Products

The following categories are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances, except in the case of a manufacturing defect or damage in transit:

  • Customised or personalised products made to order.
  • Gift sets and curated ensembles once opened.
  • Products marked as "Final Sale" on the product page.

5. Damaged or Defective Products

We inspect every order before dispatch. However, if you receive a product that is:

  • Damaged in transit,
  • Defective due to a manufacturing fault, or
  • Incorrect (wrong item shipped),

please contact us at support@peetalya.com within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the product and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.


6. Exchange Policy

We offer exchanges on eligible products subject to stock availability. Exchanges are accepted for:

  • A different size or variant of the same product.
  • A product of equal or higher value (differential amount to be paid by the customer).

To request an exchange, write to us at support@peetalya.com within 7 days of delivery. Exchange requests are subject to the same eligibility conditions as returns (Section 2).

Please note: each product can be exchanged only once.


7. Return Process

Follow these steps to initiate a return or exchange:

  1. Email us at support@peetalya.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, reason for return, and photographs of the product.
  2. Await confirmation — our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.
  3. Ship the product — once approved, securely pack the item in its original packaging and ship it to the address provided by our team. Please use a trackable courier service.
  4. Inspection & Processing — upon receipt, we will inspect the product and initiate the refund or exchange within 5–7 business days.

Note: Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the return is due to a defect or incorrect item shipped by Peetalya.


8. Refund Policy

Once a return is approved and the product passes inspection, refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Original Payment Method: Refunds are credited to the original payment method (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet) within 7–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Store Credit: At your request, we may issue store credit equivalent to the refund amount, which can be used on a future purchase at Peetalya.com.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part.
  • COD orders: Refunds for Cash on Delivery orders will be processed via bank transfer. Please share your bank account details when raising the return request.

9. Cancellation Policy

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, provided they have not been dispatched. To cancel an order, write to us immediately at support@peetalya.com with your order number.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You may initiate a return after delivery as per this policy.

For made-to-order or customised products, cancellations are not accepted once production has commenced.


10. A Note on Handcrafted Products

Peetalya's products are crafted by skilled artisans using traditional techniques. Each piece is unique. Natural variations in:

  • Surface texture and finish
  • Patina and oxidation patterns
  • Slight dimensional differences
  • Colour tone under different lighting

are inherent characteristics of handcrafted metalware and are not considered defects. We encourage you to embrace these as marks of authenticity and craftsmanship.
