Our Story
India has been shaping metal into beauty for over 5,000 years. From the temples of Rajasthan to the kitchens of Bengal, brass, copper, and kansa have been woven into the fabric of Indian life — used in rituals, gifted at weddings, passed down through families.
Peetalya was founded to honour this legacy.
Where It Began
Our founders grew up watching their grandmothers cook in heavy brass vessels, pour water from copper pitchers, and serve meals on kansa thalis. These were not just utensils — they were heirlooms. Objects that carried memory, meaning, and the warmth of generations.
As mass-produced alternatives flooded the market, these traditions began to fade. The artisans who had dedicated their lives to this craft found fewer and fewer customers. We knew something had to change.
The Peetalya Promise
We set out to create a brand that would bring India's finest metalwork to a new generation — not as museum pieces, but as living objects designed for modern homes and meaningful occasions.
Every Peetalya piece is handcrafted in small batches by master artisans. We work directly with craftspeople across India, paying fair wages and investing in the preservation of traditional techniques. Each piece is numbered for authenticity and finished by hand.
Heritage Meets Modern Living
Our collections are designed to bridge the ancient and the contemporary. Whether it is a brass diya for your puja room, a copper water vessel for your dining table, or a kansa thali for festive occasions — every Peetalya piece is made to be used, cherished, and eventually passed on.
This is not fast fashion for the home. This is craft that lasts a lifetime.
Crafted For Generations. Collected For Life.
We invite you to become part of this story — to bring a piece of India's living heritage into your home, and to help us ensure that the artisans who create these treasures can continue their craft for generations to come.
